Chapter 3: Road Block

"Jack, are you at home? What are you doing?"

"Transferring video data. Pretty Bored though. Let's go yamcha while the data transferring is in the process."

George fetched me from my house, and decided to go to Damai for a tea break. Then he asked me, "Do you know there is a road block nearby Beverly Hills?"
"Police checking?"

"No. There was a tourist bus accident. There is a restaurant near the round-about. The tourists were having their lunch over there. And there is a steep slope going up to the restaurant. I believe the accident occurred when the bus was trying to brake slowly down the slope."

"So how do you go to my house? Another way round from Supertanker?"
"Yes. Luckily I am not going through that blocked way."

As we were talking about the road block, we went to check out the road condition. Of course, the road which was blocked is to enter Beverly Hills. Our way is to going out to Bukit Pandang. Hence, our road is fine and smooth. To our astonishment, we saw a huge long pile of car queuing. And we saw a huge bus blocking both the fast and slow lane. The cars on both lanes were piling up till the end of the traffic road of Lintas! That was terrible! We saw every man in every single car was pointing the bus to show their frustration and anger. Some of them  behind thought there was police checking. Some of them were very annoyed with the block. Most of their mouths were talking. I believe nothing good came out from them at this situation.

Then I began to think about our life goal regarding to this road block. The question is "Who is our 'Road Block' in life?" When we are pursuing our big dream along our way to success. Something or someone will definitely get into your way to success. It is really discouraging to say sometimes this issue will bring us down. We may not wanna move on; we will stay there and complain about the situation. We only find excuses to cover up our failure. When the bus is removed, every car can move. If the road block is unsolved, forever the obstacles are there. The greatest problem of human beings is to complain and do nothing about it. When complaints are spread, no one really wanna do about it.

For example, some salesmen failed to achieve their sale target, they will complain, "It is because of the customers' rude attitude." Some students failed the papers, they will complain, "It is because of my studying environment. My parents always nag and annoy me." Some bosses failed to gain opportunities on big projects, they will complain, "It is because of my partners. They never find me and discuss with me."

The main problem is "Where is your action?" Once your actions begin, you will definitely overcome your "road block" one by one. Not only that, you will not drag others down keeping all the "cars" behind suffering of impatience. Others can gain benefits from it, and continue to move on their journey. We must think carefully regarding to our "road block". We can eventually harm others by creating burdens without knowing it. The greatest example is - when a student does not study hard; he failed his studies; he got no job. Naturally, he gives finance burden to his own family. He does not even have the ability to support himself. How can he be able to take care of his family? What about his own future family?

Definitely I say this to myself, "No, Jack. Never I allow this happens in my life. I want my wife to live happily and comfortably. I want to support my children who gain great education. I must at least have life insurance for my children and wife. I must take all these responsibility which God has given to me. I will take away all my 'road block' and complain no more"

Readers, there are reasons for being rich and poor, good and bad, healthy and unhealthy. From today onwards, we must find out all our "road block" and make our lives better and healthier.

2 Corinthians 11:9
"And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so."
